Our Story
outerbox43 was founded on a simple frustration: too many Perth businesses were paying significant sums for ICT consulting and walking away with generic reports, vendor-biased recommendations, and no real change.
The name reflects our philosophy. "Outside the box" thinking is expected — we go further. We challenge the conventions of how ICT consulting is delivered: the billable-hours model that incentivises complexity, the reliance on pre-packaged solutions, the habit of recommending the familiar over the right.
We exist to be the consultancy we wished existed — one that treats clients as partners, measures itself by outcomes, and stays accountable long after the engagement closes.
We're local — not a national firm with a Perth satellite office. That means real availability, real relationships, and genuine commitment to this market.
Every engagement is led by an experienced practitioner. You won't be handed off to a junior team while the partner moves on to the next pitch.

Paul brings extensive experience across ICT strategy, infrastructure, and transformation for mid-to-large organisations in Perth and across Western Australia. His approach is direct, commercial, and grounded in the reality of what it takes to make change stick inside complex organisations.
He founded outerbox43 to build the kind of consultancy he'd always wanted to work with — one where the quality of advice matters more than the size of the engagement.
